jon was born in Kerala , india on nov 28 ,1973 and come to the US to study at Art institute of Fort Louderdale and later at Parsons The New School For Design. He sold collections at a variety of stores including Bergdorf Goodman in Newyork city.His cloths had been modeled by and designed celebrities like Paris Hilton, Rosario dawson,, Janet jackson ,etc Jon was a nephew of renowned indian clasical musician and playback singer K.J Yesudas.
